New sales and wants section

There seems to be a few Shelsley’s up for sale at the moment so Shelsley-Cars.net have added a new sales and wants section, this can be found in the top right of the page, just under the top banner picture OR click HERE

The Sales and Wants section applies to all parts and cars.

Please put them here rather than adding them to ongoing conversations in other posts about other things!

  1. Hi everyone.
Am looking for a folding soft top for my T2. i guess any condition will do as i want to work out how to replace the targa top or at least have the option to us a full soft top. anyone got one they don’t need or maybe someone has one that i could borrow to copy to make a new one. any ideas.
    Thanks.
    Michael.

  2. It’s on the list of things to do Michael, new CF softtop frame.

I’m aiming to get my Shelsley on the road again for next spring with a full new soft hood and frame. Once the moulds are made there is certainly the chance to have one 🙂

    1. Hey that sounds really good Chris. Please do keep me posted on developments and if it helps you can certainly count me in as a candidate to move from targa to folding soft top. Michael.

  3. I wasn’t sure where to post to say ‘Hi’. Finally getting car #1 into running order with help from Pete.
I bought it originally with a Rover 2.0 turbo (very quick). Shortly after that, I bought the engine from the racer with 330bhp (stupidly quick), but with too much torque for spirited wet country road driving.

The chassis has been repaired / rebuilt as it got a bit rusty and so now dropping in a Honda Civic Type R engine having been made an incredible offer for the race engine. Hoping that the far thinner torque allows for more and safer use of the right foot.

    1. Hi Umesh,
Good to here you are rebuilding your car, should be prefect with the Type R engine.
Looking forward to seeing you and your car at Stoneleigh in May
