Steve Chaney’s Shelsley T2 and Goodwood photos

Anyway, I bought my car in 2013 from Barry Adams in Norfolk who knew a number of Shelsley builders including myself from when I built my first Shelsley. The kit was bought in 2003 I believe and registered in 2007 with the final part of the build being done by Pete Needum who also setup the suspension.

Since buying the car I have made some changes which include changing the gearbox as the previous was fine except it needed a higher gear in 5th to drop down the revs for cruising to a sensible level, also I have had the head gas flowed which has made a big difference to the car.

Aside of just enjoying the car I have taken it to a number of car shows with friends of ours from Sussex kit cars the first of which this year I attended was Magnificent Motors at Eastbourne held every year, this year on the 3rd and 4th of May, we have a number of fellow builders with a few here displaying their pride and joys.

More recently 1st of June myself and one of the other members of Sussex kit cars were lucky enough to get track side passes for Soft Top Sunday ay Goodwood one of the many events run there when there is no racing going on, a very good day seeing a variety soft tops and kit cars. The Shelsley caused quite a bit of discussion with my wife and myself chatting to many people which was really nice and a number of people asking if the kit was still available.
