Being a rear engine car, getting sufficient cooling to a intercooler is very difficult.
The solution is to fit a water charge cooler with pre-radiator plumbed into the front of the car. To circulate the water a small electric water pump is fitted in the circuit with a ignition feed.
A swirl pot is used as a header tank / top up fitted high up to give a head of water.
The removal of the air to air intercooler and associated pipe work frees up more space around the engine bay allowing more cooling air to circulate.
The pipe work can be run down the outside of the car under the sills, heater hose can be used or 15mm copper tube.

My God! That engine is so clean!
Hi,
not sure if this thread is still alive, but do you know what intake temperature you get with this setup?
Kind regards
Mark
Hi Mark, if it’s anything like mine then somewhere around 30degC rather than 100+
Mine was used with the racer engine and on the dyno, intake temps never got above 35C.
Just need to do periodic checks that the pump is still working and that you don’t get an airlock. Neither have happened to me, but I’ve had my warning from a my mate who damaged his engine on circuit.
